The ETA applies only to passport holders from eligible countries; most Indian passport holders must apply for the subclass 600 visa. Processing typically takes 15 to 30 working days, so applications should be submitted at least 6 weeks before departure. Biometric enrollment at a VFS Global centre in India is mandatory for most applicants.
