Package overview
The thinking behind this journey.
A closer look at this 7-night journey through Egypt— who it's built for, what you'll experience, and why the pace works.
Journey notes
Why this route works
What is an Egypt honeymoon tour package?
An Egypt honeymoon tour package is a pre-planned couple's itinerary covering hotels, transfers, a guided sightseeing plan and a Nile cruise, sold per person on twin sharing. This one runs 7 nights and 8 days, starts at Rs.80,000 per person, and excludes international flights. Entry tickets are paid on the ground.
The trip is built around one continuous cruise from Luxor to Aswan, the stretch most couples remember. You sleep on the river for four nights and wake at a different temple town most mornings, with no repeated packing. Cairo and Giza come first, so the Pyramids are done before you board.
Egypt honeymoon tour package from India: who it suits and when to go
This Egypt honeymoon tour package from India suits couples who prefer one base on the water to constant hotel changes. October to April is the comfortable window. June to September is very hot inland, with reported highs above 38°C, and is best avoided for a honeymoon.
Mornings on board are free unless you choose an excursion. Afternoons leave room for the sundeck or a nap in the cabin. There are no early group departures and no shared dining tables.
How the eight days flow
The trip has three parts: two nights in Cairo, four nights on the Nile, then a return to Cairo for the last night. Pacing is deliberate. Only two days are sightseeing-heavy, Day 2 in Giza and Day 4 in the Valley of the Kings. The rest is deliberately light.
- Day 1: Land, transfer, rest. No sightseeing booked.
- Day 2: Giza Pyramid Complex and a museum, with a break for lunch.
- Days 3 to 6: Cruise days, with temple visits in the morning and free afternoons on deck.
- Day 7: Disembark in Aswan, fly to Cairo, free evening.
- Day 8: Late breakfast and airport transfer.
Domestic flights between Cairo and Luxor or Aswan take about an hour. The overnight train is the slower, cheaper option for couples who would rather not lose a day to airport time. We confirm which one applies at booking.
Moments to plan around
Four moments are worth timing on this route. Each has a best day, and it helps to tell us in advance if you want a surprise arranged.
- First sight of the Pyramids (Day 2): go early, before the tour buses arrive and before the midday heat builds.
- Luxor Temple after dark (Day 3): the stone is lit in the evening and the East Bank is far quieter than at midday.
- Sunset from the sundeck (Day 4): the ship is in open river after the West Bank, which gives the longest uninterrupted view.
- A felucca ride in Aswan (Day 6): a small sailboat past the Nile islands in the late afternoon, the calmest hour of the trip.
Why this route suits couples
The cruise format gives privacy without effort: one cabin, one daily rhythm, and the scenery changes while you sit still. The three reasons below are specific to this route.
- One cabin for four nights: no repacking, and your things stay where you left them.
- Short excursions: most temple visits are a morning of two to three hours, with the afternoon left open.
- A warm, dry climate: rain is sparse across the Nile Valley, so outdoor plans rarely shift.
Romantic highlights on this route
These are the experiences couples ask about most. Each one is a real stop on this itinerary, not an add-on from elsewhere.
- Giza at opening time: the Giza Pyramid Complex with a private guide, general entry $15-$20, pyramid interiors ticketed separately.
- Luxor Temple in the evening: entry $10-$12, with the colonnades lit after sunset.
- Karnak Temple Complex: entry $12-$15, best walked at the start of the day before the heat.
- Valley of the Kings: $15-$20 for three tombs, with special tombs charged extra.
- Philae temple by boat: a short crossing from Aswan, quieter than the Luxor sites.
- Felucca at golden hour: a sailboat ride past the Aswan islands, arranged locally.
Choosing the right stay style
For couples, the stay matters in three ways: the view, the privacy and how close you are to the sights. On the cruise, ask for an upper-deck or river-facing cabin with a large window. In Cairo, a Nile-view room in Garden City or Zamalek keeps evenings quiet, while a Giza hotel puts the Pyramids near your window.
A twin-sharing room is the standard on this package. If you want a double bed, request it at booking and we will confirm. Hotel categories are listed below, and we do not promise specific properties until the booking is confirmed.
Best months for a couple's trip to Egypt
The best months for a couple's trip are October to April, when it is warm but not harsh. According to the weather data, December to February is cool and busy, March to May warms up, and June to September is very hot and quiet. As of 2026, peak months also carry peak prices.
| Season | Months | Typical daytime range | Crowds and prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cool peak | December to February | 9-21°C | High crowds, peak prices |
| Warm shoulder | March to May | 12-33°C | Medium crowds, medium prices |
| Hot low | June to September | 23-38°C | Low crowds, low prices |
| Warm shoulder | October to November | 14-30°C | Medium to high crowds |
Khamsin winds and occasional sandstorms can occur from March or April, so keep one flexible day in Cairo. Our best time to visit Egypt guide covers each month in more detail.
Add-ons worth considering
Add-ons are optional and priced separately. Each one fits a particular day, and the cruise and Aswan stops give the most room.
- Private dinner on the sundeck: best on Day 4 or 5, when the ship is in open river. Confirm with the ship at booking.
- Professional photographer: a two-hour shoot at Luxor Temple or on the Aswan corniche suits the lighter days.
- Spa session: fits the Aswan day on Day 6, when the schedule is light.
- Abu Simbel excursion: entry $20-$25, usually an early start from Aswan on Day 7, by road or air.

Where couples stay on a Nile cruise honeymoon in Egypt
There are three stay types on this trip: Cairo or Giza hotels, the Nile cruise cabin, and a final Cairo hotel. The package price is built on a standard 3-4 star category throughout. Prices below are indicative, per person on twin sharing, and change with the season.
| Stay tier | Indicative price per person | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Budget 3-star | approx Rs.60,000 | Simpler hotels, standard cruise cabin, fewer private transfers |
| Standard 3-4 star (default) | Rs.80,000 | Comfortable hotels, river-view cruise cabin, private transfers |
| Premium 5-star | approx Rs.1,28,000 | Higher-category hotels, larger cabin, more private time |
Garden City and the Cairo corniche are the quiet riverside areas, and Giza puts you near the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. In Luxor, the East Bank is the corniche-side base near the main temples. Aswan is a Nile-view stop with felucca access to Philae and Abu Simbel.
Entry, money and flights for Indian travellers going to Egypt
Indian passport holders need an Egypt visa; check the official portal for the current fee and application route before you apply. Our Egypt visa for Indians page covers the steps. The local currency is the Egyptian pound, and we do not quote an exchange rate because it moves daily.
Direct flights from Delhi to Cairo take about 6.5 hours, and Mumbai to Cairo is about 6 hours. Bengaluru has no direct flight and takes about 13 hours with a stop. Arabic is the main language, and English is common in tourist areas. As of October 2026, fares are not included in this package, so confirm them with your airline.
What the trip costs and what drives it
The listed price is Rs.80,000 per person on twin sharing, land only, so double that figure for two travellers before flights. Cruise cabin class is the biggest variable, followed by hotel category, the number of private transfers and whether Abu Simbel is added. Entry tickets are paid on the ground.
For context, a private car and driver for a full sightseeing day typically costs $50-$120, and a domestic flight between Cairo and Luxor or Aswan runs $60-$120 one way. Cairo Metro rides cost under $0.50, and Uber or Careem trips are $2-$8. These are indicative and change with the season, so confirm current prices at booking.

CoupleNorway is expensive but the experience is worth planning for. We did the Flam Railway and the Sognefjord on Day 5. Tripstor gave us a realistic budget breakdown before we booked, which I appreciated. No surprises on the ground.
FamilyTravelled with my parents who are in their late 50s. Tripstor recommended two full acclimatization days in Leh before any high-altitude drives and that made a real difference. Tso Moriri was quieter than Pangong and honestly more worth the drive.
FamilyBooked a family package for 7 nights covering Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil. The Cellular Jail light and sound show on Day 1 set a good tone for the trip. Kids were engaged throughout and the itinerary was not too rushed.
