Package overview
The thinking behind this journey.
A closer look at this 5-night journey through Andaman— who it's built for, what you'll experience, and why the pace works.
Journey notes
Why this route works
What makes this Andaman honeymoon route different
This route gives Havelock two full nights, so the Radhanagar Beach sunset is a planned evening and not a rushed stop between ferries. You get one long beach evening, one boat morning and one quiet island day, with late starts after ferry days.
The plan is written for two people. Ferry tickets, jetty transfers and a private dinner are arranged before you land, so you are not queuing at counters or hunting for taxis on your honeymoon.
Andaman honeymoon packages at a glance
Here is the trip in one place: a 5N/6D land package at Rs.33,500 per person (twin sharing, flights excluded), split across three bases.
| Base | Nights | Main sights and moments |
|---|---|---|
| Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) | 2 (Day 1 and Day 5) | Cellular Jail, Marina Park, Corbyn's Cove |
| Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) | 2 (Day 2 and Day 3) | Radhanagar Beach sunset, Elephant Beach boat trip, private dinner |
| Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) | 1 (Day 4) | Natural Bridge, quiet beaches, stargazing on a clear night |
Moments to plan around
Four moments shape the trip, and each has a best day on the route so you can protect the time for it.
- First Radhanagar sunset (Day 2): you reach Havelock by lunchtime, rest, and arrive at the beach with the afternoon light still soft. This is the main event of the trip.
- Private dinner for two (Day 3): placed after the Elephant Beach boat morning, when you are relaxed and unhurried. Confirm timing and menu at booking.
- Natural Bridge at low tide (Day 4): the rock formation on Neil Island is best seen at low tide, so the visit is timed to the tide table.
- A slow first morning on Havelock (Day 3): no alarm until the boat leaves. Breakfast on the balcony and a walk on the sand cost nothing and are often the most remembered part.
Why this trip suits couples
The route suits couples because it keeps travel short, puts you on beach-side stays and leaves each afternoon open. Three reasons stand out.
- Privacy: Havelock and Neil are small islands, and the evenings are quiet once day visitors leave Radhanagar Beach.
- Setting: the west-facing beach at Radhanagar gives open sunset views over the sea, with palms and forest behind it.
- Pace: one ferry day at a time, with Day 3 and Day 5 left light. For wider route options, see our Andaman tour packages.
Romantic highlights on this route
These six experiences carry the trip, each with the detail that makes it worth planning for.
- Radhanagar Beach at sunset: a long, open beach where you can walk the shoreline until the light drops.
- Private candlelight dinner: a table set for two on Havelock, with menu and timing confirmed in advance.
- Elephant Beach boat trip: a morning boat ride with basic snorkelling, done before the heat builds.
- Natural Bridge on Neil Island: a rock arch reached at low tide, quiet in the late afternoon.
- Stargazing on Neil: the island is quieter at night, and a clear sky gives you a good view of the stars.
- Cellular Jail light and sound show: an evening show on Day 1 that gives the islands' history some context.
How the days flow
The pace is deliberately light: one transfer per day, no dawn starts except the Day 2 ferry, and open afternoons built in. Day 2 is the ferry day, with a lunchtime arrival, rest, then the sunset slot. Day 3 starts late with a boat trip and leaves the evening for dinner.
Day 4 is a short ferry to Neil, with the Natural Bridge timed to low tide. Day 5 returns you to Sri Vijaya Puram by ferry, with a gentle afternoon at Corbyn's Cove. Day 6 is a slow breakfast and an airport transfer. Ferry timings can shift with weather, so keep the final day's flight buffer in mind.
Choosing the right stay style
For couples, the room and setting matter more than the star count. Look at three things: how close the property is to the beach, whether the room has a private balcony or sit-out, and how far it is from the jetty.
- Beach access: a short walk to the sand saves scooter rides and taxi waits, especially at sunset.
- Privacy: a garden-facing or sea-facing room with a private sit-out is better than a corridor-facing one.
- Jetty distance: on ferry days, a stay close to the jetty reduces dead time on both ends.
This package uses standard 3-4 star properties, and the exact hotels are confirmed at booking. Upgrades to a sea-facing room are possible at an extra cost.
Best months for a couple's trip
October to March is the best window, with pleasant weather, clearer skies and generally calmer seas. According to the cited climate tables, temperatures run 22-31 C in this period, and rainfall falls to 30-50 mm in January, February and December.
| Months | Season | What it means for couples |
|---|---|---|
| October to March | Dry, peak | Best weather and sea conditions; higher demand and prices |
| April to May | Warm shoulder | Hotter and more humid, fewer visitors, showers increase |
| June to September | Monsoon | Heavy rain, rough seas, ferry and water activity disruption |
Peak season runs from mid-December to mid-January, and peak surcharges can make costs 25% to 35% higher in that period. Our guide to the best time to visit Andaman covers month-by-month detail.
Add-ons worth considering
These add-ons are optional and priced separately; confirm each at booking.
- Private dinner upgrade: a beach-side setup with decor, best placed on Day 3 on Havelock.
- Photographer: a short sunset shoot at Radhanagar Beach on Day 2, when the light is best.
- Scuba diving: an optional water activity on Havelock, done on the morning of Day 3 if you want more than snorkelling.
- Spa session: a couple's massage after the Day 3 boat trip, when you are back by early afternoon.
- Sea-facing room upgrade: worth it on Havelock, where you spend the most time at the property.
Where you stay: Havelock beach resorts and a quiet Neil night
You stay in three places: a city hotel in Sri Vijaya Puram, a beach resort on Havelock, and a beach-side stay on Neil Island. Indicative prices below are per person for context only.
| Stay category | Indicative price per person | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Budget 3-star | Approx Rs.25,000 | Clean, simple rooms; basic setting, fewer extras |
| Standard 3-4 star (this package) | Rs.33,500 | Comfortable rooms, beach access on the islands, breakfast included |
| Premium 5-star | Approx Rs.53,500 | Larger rooms, better views and privacy, more on-site facilities |
Havelock is the base for beach time and sunsets. Neil is quieter and works for a single night. Sri Vijaya Puram is the arrival and departure base, not a place to linger.
Getting to Andaman and moving between islands
Sri Vijaya Puram airport is the gateway, and nonstop flights are stated from Delhi (about 3 h 35 min), Mumbai (about 3 h 25 min), Bengaluru (about 3 h), Chennai (about 2 h 20 min), Hyderabad (about 2 h 45 min) and Kolkata (about 2 h 15 min), as of October 2026. From Ahmedabad, Pune and Kochi, the stated route is a connection via Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru or Hyderabad, taking about 5 to 12 hours in total.
Private ferries link Port Blair, Havelock and Neil, with government ferries as a cheaper option. Mobile and internet coverage can be patchy on the islands, so download offline maps. Rough seas in the monsoon can disrupt ferries. Entry rules and permits for Indian citizens: confirm at booking. A fuller overview is in our Andaman travel guide.
Cost for two and what drives it
The listed price is Rs.33,500 per person, land only, on twin sharing, so the total for two is simply twice that figure before flights. The main cost drivers are travel month, hotel category, ferry class and optional activities; confirm current prices at booking.
- Travel month: mid-December to mid-January carries a peak surcharge of 25% to 35%.
- Ferry class: private ferries cost more than government ones; confirm the class used at booking.
- Optional extras: scuba diving, scooter hire, spa and upgraded dinners are priced separately.

CoupleNorway is expensive but the experience is worth planning for. We did the Flam Railway and the Sognefjord on Day 5. Tripstor gave us a realistic budget breakdown before we booked, which I appreciated. No surprises on the ground.
FamilyBooked a family package for 7 nights covering Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil. The Cellular Jail light and sound show on Day 1 set a good tone for the trip. Kids were engaged throughout and the itinerary was not too rushed.
FriendsThree friends and I did a 9-night Australia package with stops in Melbourne and Sydney. We spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and caught a local match. Tripstor sorted our group visa applications together which saved a lot of back and forth. Good experience overall.
