Package overview
The thinking behind this journey.
A closer look at this 7-night journey through South Korea— who it's built for, what you'll experience, and why the pace works.
Journey notes
Why this route works
What is a South Korea family package?
A South Korea family package is a ready-made international holiday with hotels, transfers and sightseeing planned around children and elders. On this trip, the plan is built around Everland and Lotte World, with rest days placed between them.
Land-only means flights, visa and insurance are booked separately, while hotels, transfers and the Seoul sightseeing are handled for you.
Which South Korea family holiday suits parents with children and grandparents?
This trip covers seven nights in Seoul and one night near Incheon, with a full day each at Everland and Lotte World. Between the parks you get a palace and hanok day, a Han River evening, a gentle Namsan walk and two open mornings.
You unpack once for six nights, so children and grandparents are not living out of suitcases. The route also suits travellers looking at a South Korea tour package that stays in one city rather than chasing several.
Day-by-day plan
The full 8-day schedule, with morning, afternoon and evening slots for each day, is set out in the itinerary section of this page. In short, Day 1 is arrival, Days 2 to 7 alternate sightseeing, park days and rest, and Day 8 is departure from Incheon.
What is included and what is not?
The inclusions and exclusions lists on this page spell out what the land price covers. Hotels, breakfast, airport transfers, the two park days with transfers and the Seoul city tour are in. Flights, visa fee, insurance, lunches, dinners and personal spending are out. Anything we cannot confirm is marked as to be confirmed at booking.
How do kid and elder logistics work?
Seats and rooms are arranged so that grandparents and children are never far from a hotel or a rest stop. Vehicles are sized to the group, and children sit with a parent. Seoul's subways, buses and taxis all work with one Tmoney card, so nobody needs cash for every ride.
- Ask for ground-floor or lift-access rooms for elders at booking.
- Request a stroller-friendly vehicle if you are travelling with a toddler.
- Pre-book wheelchair assistance with the airline if needed.
- Snack and rest stops are built into the longer road transfers, mainly the drive to Everland.
Why does this route work for families?
The route keeps transfers short and puts rest between the busy days. The longest drive is the road to Everland, and every park day is followed by an open morning or afternoon.
- Days start after breakfast, not at dawn.
- Dinners are early, usually before 7 pm.
- Palace and market days involve flat, easy walking.
- Shared activities, such as the Han River picnic, keep all ages together.
Highlights by age group
Each age group gets something of its own, so nobody spends the trip waiting for someone else's turn.
- Younger children: Everland rides and shows, Lotte World's indoor zone, hands-on craft programmes in the hanok area, Han River picnic.
- Teenagers: Lotte World's bigger rides, Myeongdong shopping, street-food stalls, free time near the hotel.
- Grandparents: Gyeongbokgung Palace, an easy section of the Namsan walking trail, cafe breaks in Myeongdong, unhurried evenings.
Pace, rest and daily logistics
The daily rhythm is a late-morning start, a lunch break and an early return to the hotel. Park days are long, so Days 4 and 7 are kept open for rest and shopping.
- Hotel pickups after breakfast, usually between 9 and 10 am.
- Seated breaks every two to three hours at the parks.
- Palace and market walking is on flat ground; Namsan has gentle slopes, so elders can turn back at any viewpoint.
- Seoul's subway stations have lifts and escalators, and taxis are available for shorter hops.
Rooms, meals and comfort
Hotels are standard 3-4 star properties in central Seoul, with a similar hotel near Incheon for the last night. Family rooms or connecting rooms depend on availability, so confirm them at booking.
Breakfast is included daily. Vegetarian dishes are available in Seoul, but ask about fish stock and meat broth. Seoul also has certified halal and Muslim-friendly restaurants. Jain meals need a no-onion, no-garlic request in advance.
Travelling with kids and elders: five tips
Plan for walking, weather and food before you plan for rides. These tips help most families on this route.
- Buy a Tmoney card at a convenience store or subway station on arrival. The same card works on subways, city buses, intercity buses, taxis and trains.
- Keep passports, child ID and the visa approval printout in one pouch.
- Pack layers. Spring and autumn mornings are cool, and winter brings freezing conditions.
- Carry a light rain jacket from June to October, since June to October is typhoon season and July and August are hot and wet.
- Carry prescription medicines in original packaging with a doctor's note, and check travel insurance cover for children and elders.
Where do families stay in Seoul on this trip?
Families stay in a standard 3-4 star hotel in a central Seoul area such as Myeongdong, which suits families and has shops and eateries within walking distance. The last night is at a similar hotel near Incheon International Airport, so the departure morning is calm.
The price tiers below are indicative, per person, land only, and are shown for context. Confirm the figure for your dates at booking.
- Budget 3-star (approx Rs.61,000): simple rooms, usually a short walk or subway ride from the main sights. Rooms are compact, so check bed sizes for children.
- Standard 4-star (Rs.81,500, this package): central location, daily breakfast and room types that can take an extra bed.
- Premium 5-star (approx Rs.1,30,500): larger rooms, better views and more on-site facilities, at a higher cost.
Hotel names are shared once your booking is confirmed, since the final property depends on dates and availability.
Entry, money and flights for Indian travellers to South Korea
Indian passport holders generally need a visa before travelling to South Korea, applied for through the official South Korean government route. Check the South Korea visa for Indians guide and the official portal for the current fee and processing time, as both can change. The local currency is the Korean won (KRW), and we do not quote an exchange rate because it moves daily.

FamilyTravelled with my parents who are in their late 50s. Tripstor recommended two full acclimatization days in Leh before any high-altitude drives and that made a real difference. Tso Moriri was quieter than Pangong and honestly more worth the drive.
FamilyBooked a family package for 7 nights covering Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil. The Cellular Jail light and sound show on Day 1 set a good tone for the trip. Kids were engaged throughout and the itinerary was not too rushed.
FriendsThree friends and I did a 9-night Australia package with stops in Melbourne and Sydney. We spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and caught a local match. Tripstor sorted our group visa applications together which saved a lot of back and forth. Good experience overall.
