Journey notes
Why this route works
What is a Seychelles honeymoon package?
A Seychelles honeymoon package is a land arrangement for two that bundles stays, ferries, transfers and a few romantic touches across the main islands. This one covers Mahé, Praslin and La Digue over 5 nights, with the most time on La Digue.
Seychelles honeymoon from India: the short answer
This route gives two nights to La Digue, where the boulder beach is the main event and not a quick stop. Mahé handles arrival and departure, Praslin gets one night and a palm forest, and La Digue gets the unhurried middle of the trip.
Anse Source d'Argent sits inside L'Union Estate, a former plantation with an entry gate, old estate buildings and giant tortoises near the path. Reach it early. By mid-morning the shallow lagoon fills with day-trippers and the light on the granite turns flat.
Who is this trip for?
This trip suits couples who are happy to cycle, do not mind two short ferry crossings, and would rather spend two unhurried days at the beach than chase ten sights. It is built for two, not for families or groups.
If you want nightlife, shopping or a resort-to-resort route, a different Seychelles holiday will serve you better. The Seychelles tour packages page shows other island combinations if you want to compare.

Moments to plan around
Four moments tend to matter most on this route, and each has a best day.
- First sunset: Day 1 at Beau Vallon beach, a gentle start after the flight.
- Palm forest morning: Day 2 at Vallée de Mai, open 8:30am to 5pm, when the light through the fronds is softest.
- Early lagoon walk: Day 4 at Anse Source d'Argent, before day-trippers arrive.
- Private dinner: Day 4 evening on La Digue, arranged in advance.
Why this suits couples
La Digue is the reason. Bicycles replace most traffic, distances are short, and the two nights give you time at the beach without a schedule.
Anse Source d'Argent is a beach of granite boulders and shallow lagoons, so it works for slow swims and photographs rather than watersports. Praslin adds a quiet palm forest and a swim at Anse Lazio, which keeps the middle of the trip varied without crowding it.
Romantic highlights
- Early walk through L'Union Estate to Anse Source d'Argent, with giant tortoises beside the path.
- Evening bicycle ride from La Passe to a nearby beach for sunset.
- Candlelight dinner for two on La Digue, venue to be confirmed at booking.
- Morning swim at Anse Lazio on Praslin before the beach fills up.
- Walk among coco de mer palms in Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage palm forest.
- First-night sunset at Beau Vallon on Mahé, with dinner a short walk away.
How the days flow
The pace is deliberately light. Ferry days start with a normal breakfast, not a pre-dawn alarm, and most afternoons are left open.
Day 2 and Day 3 involve a ferry each, about 60 minutes and 15 minutes respectively. Day 4 is the full beach day. Day 5 starts late, with free time on La Digue before the return to Mahé. Sunset slots are kept free on most evenings.
Choosing the right stay style
For couples, the useful differences are privacy, access and view, not star rating alone. On La Digue, a small guesthouse near La Passe puts you close to the ferry jetty, bicycles and restaurants.
On Praslin, the Côte d'Or and Anse Volbert area is a beach and dining base, while Baie Sainte Anne is the main accommodation base. On Mahé, Beau Vallon keeps you near the beach and restaurants. Ask for a room with a balcony or garden view where possible, and confirm at booking.
Best time to visit Seychelles from India
May to September is the driest period, though stronger southeast trade winds make south and east facing coasts choppy. April, October and November are generally calmer, with November turning wetter as the northwest monsoon builds. Heavy rain falls from December to February.
| Period | Rain | Crowds | What it means for a couple |
|---|---|---|---|
| May to September | Low | High | Driest weather, cooler evenings, choppier seas on some coasts |
| April, October, November | Moderate | Medium to high | Calmer, near-windless days, better for swimming and snorkelling |
| December to February | Heavy | Medium to high | Wettest months, peak prices, occasional cyclones possible |
Add-ons worth considering
- Reef safari to St. Anne Marine National Park: a full-day boat trip with snorkelling stops, best slotted into a free day on Mahé.
- Private dinner: a beachfront or garden table for two, best on Day 4 or Day 5.
- Photographer session: a short shoot at Anse Source d'Argent in the early morning.
- Spa treatment: a couples massage, easiest on the Praslin night or the final evening on Mahé.
Pricing for each is confirmed at booking.
Where couples stay across the route
The listed price of Rs.93,500 per person is for the standard 4-star tier. A budget 3-star tier comes to roughly Rs.70,000 per person, and a premium 5-star tier to roughly Rs.1,49,500, both indicative and per person on twin sharing.
Budget stays are simple guesthouses or small hotels, usually a short walk from the beach. Standard stays add better rooms and on-site dining. Premium stays move to larger resorts with more privacy and sea-facing rooms.
Room category moves the final figure more than anything else. Season matters too, since many months are priced high or at peak. For a total for two, confirm current prices at booking.
Seychelles charges a tourist tax per person per night: 75 SCR at medium-sized properties and 100 SCR at larger hotels, as of 2026. Properties with up to 24 rooms are exempt from 1 January 2026. Some guesthouses add a ferry booking fee of $5-15 per ticket, and ferries fill up in peak season, so lock dates early.
Entry, money and flights for Indian travellers to Seychelles
Indian passport holders should check the current entry rules before booking. The Seychelles visa for Indians guide covers the application route; check the official portal for the current fee.
The local currency is the Seychelles rupee (SCR). Cards are widely accepted at hotels, but carry some cash for small guesthouses, buses and bicycle hire. For flights, check duration and routing from your departure city when you book; fares and airlines are not covered by this package.
Driving is on the left, and roads on Mahé and Praslin can be narrow and steep. Bicycles are the standard way to get around La Digue, and SPTC buses on Mahé and Praslin run by day at a flat SCR 6 fare, as of February 2026. Reef shoes help on the granite sections, and a dry bag is useful on ferry crossings.

FamilyTravelled with my parents who are in their late 50s. Tripstor recommended two full acclimatization days in Leh before any high-altitude drives and that made a real difference. Tso Moriri was quieter than Pangong and honestly more worth the drive.
HoneymoonHoneymooned in Kashmir for 7 nights in May. Gulmarg had light snow still and we got a gondola ride on Day 4. The tulip garden in Srinagar was in full bloom. Tripstor arranged a candlelit dinner on the houseboat which was a nice touch.
FriendsThree friends and I did a 9-night Australia package with stops in Melbourne and Sydney. We spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and caught a local match. Tripstor sorted our group visa applications together which saved a lot of back and forth. Good experience overall.
