Package overview
The thinking behind this journey.
A closer look at this 5-night journey through Singapore— who it's built for, what you'll experience, and why the pace works.
Journey notes
Why this route works
What does this Singapore adventure route cover?
This 5-night itinerary runs across three zones: Marina Bay and the city centre for the first three nights, then Sentosa for the final two. The main physical days are Day 3 (Pulau Ubin cycling) and Day 5 (Rainforest Wild Adventure trails). Day 4 is long due to the Night Safari but involves mostly walking at a relaxed pace. Evenings after 6 pm are free on all days except the Night Safari night.
Travel between zones uses the MRT, taxis and the M2 shuttle to Mandai Wildlife Reserve from Khatib MRT station. The shuttle costs approximately S$2.50 per person each way as of November 2024 — confirm the current fare at booking. No day requires a private vehicle unless you prefer one.
Why choose an active itinerary over a standard Singapore city break?
A standard Singapore city break typically covers Gardens by the Bay, Orchard Road and the Marina Bay waterfront. This route replaces those slow afternoons with cycling tracks, elevated forest walkways and a nocturnal wildlife trail. The trade-off is real: you will walk 8–10 km on two days and cycle roughly 15 km on one morning. If you want pool time and late starts, a city break suits you better.
The Pulau Ubin cycling morning is what sets this trip apart from other Singapore packages. The island has no high-rises, no shopping malls and no MRT — just rubber-tree groves, mangrove edges and flat dirt tracks. Getting there requires a short bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal.
When is the best time to visit Singapore from India for an outdoor trip?
February is the driest month, with average rainfall around 105 mm. March and April follow at roughly 150–165 mm. June to September is the Southwest Monsoon period, with monthly rainfall between 125 mm and 150 mm — manageable for outdoor activities. December is the wettest month at around 330 mm and is the least suitable for a cycling-heavy itinerary. Rain in Singapore typically falls in short afternoon bursts, so morning activity slots usually stay usable even in wetter months.
How much does this Singapore trip cost from India?
The package price is Rs.60,000 per person (as of 2026), covering 5 nights of twin-sharing accommodation, daily breakfast, airport transfers, listed activity entries, the Pulau Ubin guide and MRT travel within the itinerary. Flights, Singapore visa fees, lunches, dinners and personal expenses are not included. Prices rise during December school holidays and long weekends — confirm at booking.
Signature Activity: Cycling on Pulau Ubin
Pulau Ubin is a small island off Singapore's northeastern coast, reached by a 10-minute bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. The cycling route covers approximately 15 km on flat, unpaved tracks through secondary forest and along the shoreline. A guide accompanies the group, sets the pace and handles any mechanical issues with the hired bicycles.
Bicycles and helmets are provided. A safety briefing covers track conditions, hand signals and what to do if it rains. If a thunderstorm warning is active, the guide will hold the group at a shelter point or reschedule the ride to the afternoon. The ride takes roughly 3–4 hours including rest stops. Riders must be at least 12 years old; younger children may join only if a parent rides alongside and the operator confirms it at booking.
Who is this trip for?
This route suits Indian travellers who are comfortable walking 8–10 km in hot, humid conditions and cycling 15 km on flat terrain. No prior trekking or technical cycling experience is needed. The trail sections at Rainforest Wild Adventure have elevated walkways at different comfort levels, so you can choose a shorter loop if needed.
Anyone with knee problems, heart conditions or breathing difficulties should consult a doctor before booking. Children aged 12 and above can join all activity days with an adult. The Night Safari tram is accessible and suitable for most fitness levels. If your group includes members who cannot manage the cycling day, a city-based alternative can be arranged — confirm at booking.

Weather, Safety and What Happens When Plans Change
Singapore sits one degree north of the equator, so heat and humidity are constant year-round. Temperatures range from 24°C to 32°C depending on the month. There is no altitude to acclimatise to — the entire itinerary is at sea level.
Thunderstorms are the main weather risk for outdoor activities. The guide monitors the Meteorological Service Singapore lightning alert system. If a red or black lightning warning is active, outdoor activities pause until the all-clear. The guide will either hold the group under shelter, swap the activity order or reschedule to the next available slot. No refund is given for weather delays unless the activity cannot be completed at all — confirm the policy at booking.
All activity guides on this trip are English-speaking and familiar with the routes. Carry a reusable water bottle and refill it at park stations. Wear grip-soled shoes on the Pulau Ubin tracks and the forest walkways. A compact poncho or rain jacket is useful on every day.
Gear and Packing Checklist
- Bring from India: Grip-soled walking or trail shoes, compact rain poncho, lightweight cotton or moisture-wicking clothes, sunscreen (SPF 50+), insect repellent, reusable water bottle, small daypack, personal medication
- Provided by the operator: Bicycle and helmet on the Pulau Ubin day, activity guide on cycling and trail days
- Buy locally if needed: Prepaid SIM card at Changi Airport, EZ-Link card for MRT and buses, additional rain gear
- Leave behind: Heavy luggage on activity days — store bags at the hotel or Sentosa property
Permits, Park Rules and Age Conditions
Pulau Ubin has no entry permit fee for visitors as of 2026 — confirm at booking in case this changes. The bumboat fare is a separate cost paid at Changi Point Ferry Terminal; confirm the current rate at booking. Mandai Wildlife Reserve entry tickets are included in this package for the listed parks. Rainforest Wild Adventure has its own safety briefing and participant conditions — the operator will share these before the activity day. Children under 12 are not permitted on the Pulau Ubin cycling day without prior operator approval.
Where You Stay: City Hotels and Sentosa Resort
The first three nights are in a 4-star hotel in the Marina Bay or Chinatown area, giving easy MRT access to the SkyPark, Gardens by the Bay and Changi Point. Chinatown and Bugis are mid-priced zones with good food options nearby. The final two nights move to a 4-star resort property on Sentosa, which is closer to Mandai by taxi and gives access to the Sentosa boardwalk on Day 5 evening. No specific hotel names are confirmed here — the property is assigned at booking based on availability.
Entry, Visa and Flights for Indian Passport Holders Visiting Singapore
Indian passport holders require a visa to enter Singapore. Apply through the official Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore portal or through an authorised visa agent. The visa fee is not listed in this package — check the official ICA portal for the current fee before applying. Processing times vary; apply at least 2–3 weeks before travel and confirm the current timeline at booking.
The local currency is the Singapore Dollar (SGD). Do not quote or rely on any exchange rate from memory — check a live rate before departure. Carry some SGD cash for the bumboat fare and small purchases on Pulau Ubin, where card payments may not be accepted.
Direct flights from major Indian cities to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) take approximately 5 hours 45 minutes from Delhi, 5 hours 30 minutes from Mumbai, 4 hours 35 minutes from Bengaluru, 4 hours 25 minutes from Chennai, 4 hours 55 minutes from Hyderabad, 4 hours 20 minutes from Kolkata and 4 hours 50 minutes from Kochi. FriendsThree friends and I did a 9-night Australia package with stops in Melbourne and Sydney. We spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and caught a local match. Tripstor sorted our group visa applications together which saved a lot of back and forth. Good experience overall.
HoneymoonHoneymooned in Kashmir for 7 nights in May. Gulmarg had light snow still and we got a gondola ride on Day 4. The tulip garden in Srinagar was in full bloom. Tripstor arranged a candlelit dinner on the houseboat which was a nice touch.
FamilyBooked a family package for 7 nights covering Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil. The Cellular Jail light and sound show on Day 1 set a good tone for the trip. Kids were engaged throughout and the itinerary was not too rushed.
