Why this route works
What does this Qatar family tour package cover?
This is a 5-night, 6-day land-only plan in Doha, priced at Rs.48,500 per person on twin sharing in a standard 3-4 star hotel. Katara Cultural Village and Aspire Park are the two anchor stops, supported by museums, Souq Waqif and a free afternoon.
Mornings begin after a relaxed breakfast, the main outing runs in the afternoon, and dinner is done by about 8pm so younger children are in bed on time. Day 4 is kept free after the park visit.

Kid and elder logistics
Every transfer is by a private air-conditioned vehicle, so no one has to manage Metro stairs with a stroller or a tired grandparent. Most daily drives inside Doha are short, and the longest planned stop is about two hours at a museum.
- Seats and rooms: share the ages of children and any mobility needs at booking so the vehicle size and room set-up (twin with extra bed, or connecting rooms) can be arranged.
- Strollers and wheelchairs: museums, Katara's promenade and the park paths are generally flat and walkable; confirm wheelchair access for each venue at booking.
- Rest stops: Katara has restaurants and seating, and the Museum of Islamic Art is followed by MIA Park. Carry water and dry snacks for the car.
Why Katara and Aspire Park work for children and grandparents
Katara Cultural Village keeps galleries, theatres, restaurants and a waterfront promenade in one walkable area, so the family is not changing stops every hour. Aspire Park adds open space for children to run after indoor sightseeing.
Both are short drives from the main hotel areas. Grandparents can sit on the promenade or park benches while children use the space, and nobody has to cover long distances on foot.
Highlights by age group
Each age group gets something of its own, so the day does not revolve around one person's interests.
- Younger children: open lawns at Aspire Park, the waterfront promenade at Katara, and the Al Thuraya Planetarium, which has a full-dome digital system, if time allows.
- Teenagers: the National Museum of Qatar, whose building is inspired by the desert rose, the Souq Waqif alleys, and an evening walk at The Pearl-Qatar.
- Grandparents: the Museum of Islamic Art, with Islamic art spanning 1,400 years, then MIA Park for waterfront views from a bench, plus slow courtyard time at Katara.
Pace, rest and logistics
One main outing a day, a rest window after lunch and dinner by about 8pm keep the pace easy for children and elders. Outdoor stops are placed in the morning or evening, and Day 4 is deliberately free.
Airport to hotel is a short drive, and the Doha Metro Red Line links Hamad International Airport with central Doha in under 20 to 25 minutes if you prefer it for a free-afternoon outing. For route variations, see our Qatar tour packages.
Rooms, meals and comfort
Standard 3-4 star hotels in Doha usually offer twin rooms with an extra bed, and some have family or connecting rooms. Confirm the exact set-up for your group at booking.
Halal food is standard in Qatar. Vegetarian choices are common: hummus, mutabbal, tabbouleh, falafel, baba ghanoush and fattoush appear on most mezze menus. Jain-specific meals are not confirmed, so tell us early and carry dry snacks.
Travelling with kids and elders: practical tips
Plan for cool indoor spaces, modest clothing and easy local transport. These points matter most when children and elders travel together.
- Cover shoulders and knees in public places; this is the general advice for men and women.
- Carry a light jacket, as malls, museums and vehicles are strongly air-conditioned.
- Doha Metro fares are QR2 single and QR6 day pass in Standard class (as of March 2026); Karwa buses are free.
- Karwa taxis can be booked on the Karwa Taxi app or by calling 800 8294.
- Keep digital copies of passports and your children's ID for museum entry and hotel check-in.
Where you stay in Doha: three price tiers
This trip uses a standard 3-4 star hotel in central Doha, close to the Corniche, Souq Waqif and the museums. Families also look at Lusail and the Doha Corniche area, both listed by Visit Qatar as suited to families.
- Budget 3-star (indicative, about Rs.36,500 per person): simpler rooms and facilities, fine for a short, sightseeing-heavy stay.
- Standard 4-star (Rs.48,500 per person, this package): larger rooms, usually a pool and a breakfast buffet with a range of options for children.
- Premium 5-star (indicative, about Rs.77,500 per person): more space, family-room options and added facilities in upscale districts.
Qatar entry, money and flights for Indian travellers
Indian passport holders need to check the current entry rules before booking; our Qatar visa for Indians guide explains the route, and the official portal shows the current fee. The local currency is the Qatari riyal (QR); check the live rate before you exchange money.
Flights from Mumbai to Doha take about 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours on a direct service, as of May 2026. Other Indian cities vary, so confirm routing and fares at booking.
When is the best time to visit Qatar from India, and what does it cost?
November to February is the most comfortable window, with January the coolest month at around 17 C. From May to September the heat is very high and can cross 40 C, so shift outdoor stops to early morning in summer.
The Qatar trip cost here is Rs.48,500 per person for land arrangements on twin sharing, flights not included. Child rates, extra beds and optional add-ons such as a 4WD Khor Al Adaid excursion are confirmed at booking.
Share how many adults and children are travelling and their ages, and we will adjust rooms, pace and activities.

HoneymoonHoneymooned in Kashmir for 7 nights in May. Gulmarg had light snow still and we got a gondola ride on Day 4. The tulip garden in Srinagar was in full bloom. Tripstor arranged a candlelit dinner on the houseboat which was a nice touch.
FamilyTravelled with my parents who are in their late 50s. Tripstor recommended two full acclimatization days in Leh before any high-altitude drives and that made a real difference. Tso Moriri was quieter than Pangong and honestly more worth the drive.
FamilyBooked a family package for 7 nights covering Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil. The Cellular Jail light and sound show on Day 1 set a good tone for the trip. Kids were engaged throughout and the itinerary was not too rushed.
